KITAGO provides Human Capital Development programs particularly improving the quality of life of rural and urban community through Education & Entrepreneurship Development Programs. The skills and entrepreneurship training provided will empower the target community with knowledge and skills to realize their potential and achieve financial independence.
KITAGO in association with Pertubuhan Kemajuan Sosial Malaysia (PKSM) has 13 years experience in addressing human capital through Entrepreneurship Skills Training Program called ‘empower’ in 29 districts of East Coast Economic Region (ECER) & Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER).

Some of the skills training programmes carried out include Makeup & Artistry, Fashion & Sewing, Scaffolding, ICT, Frozen Food Processing, Barista, Hair Dressing, Spa Therapy, Agriculture, Electrical Appliance Repair etc.
This program has helped generate a more steady income through sales of their products and services. Participants are required to formalize the business and sit through a session on basic accounting which covered documenting daily cash flow, categorizing expenses, preparing invoices as well as profit and loss statements.
The overall aim of this programme is to empower participants to take that brave step away from the B40 categorization and be empowered to stand independently on their own feet. Thousands of new micro enterprises have been created. This has resulted in tangible impact in the local economy by raising the household income of the B40.
Kitago has touched
families in Kedah, Perlis, Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu and Mersing, Johor since 2010.
